Project: Wastewater/Septic Systems Individual Wastewater
Disposal System Design
The photo on the left
is a typical section of septic drainfield before being covered. Prior
to drainfield cover American Engineering inspects the installation and
assists the installer in making appropriate corrections so that when Health
Department inspection is called for, the system will be approved. The
photo on the right is the septic drainfield after being covered with additional
drain rock and then geotextile fabric. The fabric prevents fine graded
material from entering the drainfield and plugging the system. Our clients
benefit from our staff's design expertise and ability
to effectively work with the local Health Department staff. Regional Wastewater Reclamation Plant Cowiche, Washington
For the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Plant at Cowiche, American Engineering teamed with HR Esvelt Engineering to provide plant design, $1.4 million in grant acquisition, other project funding and project permitting. The top photo is of the Sludge Batch Reactors as the steel reinforcement and wall formwork is being placed. The second photograph is the completed slab of the influent flow measurement structure. The proposed plant is designed to ultimately treat 800,000 gallons of wastewater per day and will serve the rural settlement of Cowiche and the Town of Tieton both of which are agriculturally based communities located northwest of Yakima, Washington.
